About Facing Winter
MUSIC
For more than seven years, Justin Birchard and Jeff Goluszka have been enjoying themselves, making music as Facing Winter.
As of 2011, they've released 40 studio-recorded songs between three EP's, two full-length albums, and a compilation. The band
has two kinds of live performances: Acoustic (Justin and Jeff with guitar and hand percussion) and Rock (full band with bassist).
Facing Winter currently performs mostly in the Midwest United States, based out of a home/studio near
Chicago, Illinois. For all upcoming events, see the Shows page.
The music is melodically energetic, part acoustic folk and part indie rock. It's based on passionate vocals,
smooth/bouncy rhythms, and intricate tonal textures.
